Keep it simple.

Keep it simple.

Successful business ownership is nothing different than success in everyday life as a non-business owner, an employee, or a career person. If you model behaviors of success in any endeavor, and if you place your intellectual energies toward learning and doing what it takes to succeed, then you’ll likely enjoy certain successes in that endeavor. Why feel that business ownership should be any different than that?

Occasionally, I meet people who are entirely focused on failure, and what it takes to fail, and all the obstacles in the way to success. These same people once were immobile, helpless little babies, but now they speak and walk and communicate like the rest of us. How do they think they reached this point?

Franchising has proven, with very few exceptions, that following success behavior models in Maine, Miami, Seattle, and San Jose all work to similar ends. If you can see the business opportunity and its outcomes can generate what you wish to experience, then it’s worth it for you to consider that option. If you feel good about what it takes to succeed in said business model, if you can see yourself doing what it takes to succeed in said business model, if you can feel yourself enjoying what it takes to succeed in the business model, and if you can appreciate the partnerships necessary to generate that success within said business model, then I’ll fight for common sense and for you consider the opportunity thoroughly.

If instead, you find yourself focused on fear, and you focus on every obstacle to success, then you must also ask yourself how got this far in life and decide what direction is best for you next.
